Giving up Cigarette smoking - Cigarette smoking, Drowning and Somebody's Backside!

Back in the great ole 1770's it was thought by the Humane Society that a drowned person might be resuscitated by placing a lit pipe into the victims anus, then blowing on the embers and providing exactly what amounted to a nicotine enema. The idea being that nicotine is a stimulant and would stimulate an individual back to life.

Obviously there were cases where this is precisely what occurred. Pipe resuscitation kits were readily available at points along the Thames river. By the 1820's it was established that this practice didn't work and it was believed that inserting a pipe into a drowned individual was in itself enough to bring some back to life!

Cigarettes were promoted as benefiting your lungs. In the 1930's a popular brand name promoted that 20,169 Physicians state their brand name is less irritating and your throat is protected versus cough.

A dental professional was included suggesting another brand name, in 1964 some 62 years after the very first research surfaced on the danger of cancer and smoking a significant brand name was a sponsor of the US Governmental elections.

From the early twentieth century through to the 1950's doctors were prescribing cigarettes to patients of a nervous disposition. This consisted of kids; I have actually seen a number of older clients who were provided cigarettes as a way to customize their behaviour by the family physician.

By the 1960's this practice stopped and by the 1970's it was shown that nicotine causes stress and anxiety and not relaxation.

Here we are in 2015. There is no doubt at all about the harm cigarettes cause, yet about 20 % of the population still smokes. Some young some old, some pregnant, some ill, some who are fitness fanatics and some who live an otherwise toxin totally free existence.

It's not an absence of expertise, everyone understands smoking is fatal.

It's not an absence of social pressure, many people are badgered by family and pals.

It's not about economics, cigarettes in Australia cost the average cigarette smoker about $120 per week, yet they still find the cash.

It's not about intelligence, a lot of cigarette smoking clients I've seen are intense individuals.

It's not about convenience, the majority of smokers have to stroll a substantial range from their workplace to smoke.

What then? It has to do with subconscious resistance, keeping all the triggers alive no matter how much you desire to stop. This is the domain of hypnosis, the best and just way to obtain rid of those long held triggers for ever.
