I'm Scared I 'd Love to Quit Smoking, Which Is It?

If you 'd enjoy to give up smoking cigarettes, but fear you cannot ... you're not alone.

Fear is one of the 2 dominant energies in life; love is the other. They do not occupy the same space effectively ... in reality, they oppose one another. Fear systematically incapacitates up until it totally keeps us from experiencing the very thing which would make us happy ... love.

If we fear failure ... we won't attempt. , if we fear death ... we will not live.. If we are afraid worry ... we won't enjoy. If we confront exactly what we are afraid, we start to dissipate its energy.

Worry of the unidentified is no question the most frightening worry of them all. Although with a little info, it can dissipate much faster than you think.

For years, I had a terrible fear of flying. I just couldn't understand how the weight of a jumbo jet, loaded with passengers and luggage, could ever get off the ground, much less fly securely.

On those rare occasions when I had to fly, I would find myself foolishly replaying in my mind, over and over once more ... you guessed it ... the worst case situation which would always end in an intense crash.

The fear of the unknown is so powerful it can supersede rational idea. You see, I knew for a reality thousands of air travels successfully departed and landed day in and day out ... however in some way my worry would dwell on the crash that made headings 10 years ago.

I finally decided to break without my worry by flooding myself with as much details as I might take in on the safety element of flying. I check out many testaments from profession pilots with 30 and 40 years' experience elaborating on the security and their love of flying.

I learned of the many security aspects which make flying the most safe mode of travel there is today:

- A two engine plane could fly and land just great even.

- In the exceptionally rare occasion all engines were to stop at travelling height (35,000 feet), the airplane would glide Thirty Minutes covering 120 miles before landing on the ground, due to the fact that all the controls would work as if the engines were still going.

- Every industrial aircraft system is developed with a primary, auxiliary, back-up, and emergency situation system to make sure the security of passengers.

Honestly with all this information, I was able to tame my worry and fly a lot more comfortably.

Your worry to give up cigarette smoking is no different than my fear of flying ... both try desperately to keep us from living the life we want. Fortunately is ... with sufficient credible details, any "fear of the unknown" can most certainly be changed into a paper tiger.

Don't you just enjoy it?
